What makes America great

At the Borders in Mt. Laurel, you can buy a Book of Mormon for $24.95.

Next thing you know, they'll be selling water in bottles.

A quick glance shows that the highest priced Book of Mormon on is $22.95. The most expensive Bible I could find on there went for $39.99. The Koran comes in at $25.50, and the Torah/Tanakh (a word I've never heard before) at a whopping $60.

So in terms of hastily-searched most expensive versions, Mormonism is your best bargain. Although given that (I think) the Koran is harder to find for free, it might be a less ridiculous price.

In the subway the other day some woman was handing out a flyer announcing herself a consultant or some such for Jews for Jesus, and identified herself as "a nice Jewish woman who loves Jesus and Arabs." The flyer also contained the quote "To make peace with your brothers you must first make peace with your father," which I took to relate to the "Arabs" part, potentially. I wasn't aware this was such a big component of Jews for Jesus' doctrine, and I wonder if she's some spin-off. She could, of course, just mean Christian Arabs.
